This workshop, conducted by Takashi Makino, is concerned with the use of film materials to explore the possibilities of 3D imagery. Following a lecture by the filmmaker, the Pulfrich effect is studied and implemented. 16mm film positive is manipulated, resulting in three-dimensional, non-representational moving images. The auditory results of these handmade films are examined and further processed with synthesizer modules.
