Poster
Takashi Makino is a Tokyo-based experimental filmmaker. Drawing inspiration from French Surrealism of the 1920s, his films implement multiple exposure techniques to transform the representational into dense, immersive, and otherworldly experiences. The sound in his films includes pieces composed in collaboration with musicians such as Cal Lyall and Jim O’Rourke. Cinema Concret, The Picture from Darkness, and On Generation and Corruption are presented in this screening.
